B.R.Knoerzer’s collection of work consists of 3 major categories. Printmaking (woodcut/linocut), sculpture (wood carving) and paper making. The images are often symbolic and reflect the values and beliefs of the artist. He combines botanical designs with geometric structures to create a balance of architectural forms with expressive natural elements.
Knoerzer studied visual art at Purchase University where he graduated in 2000 with a bachelors degree in fine art. Upon graduating he moved to Williamsburg Brooklyn and began working as a fine art screen printer at Brand X Editions Ltd. until 2002. His work has been exhibited predominantly in group printmaking shows within the United States. Currently, he is represented by Black Diamond Gallery (Brooklyn) and shows frequently at RBPMW in Manhattan. His work has also been shown in several internationally organized group printmaking exhibitions in London and Daegu South Korea.
