It’s the oldest abstract play on good vs evil. Black vs White.  One does not exist with out the other but it would seem the white is pushing against creating tension towards the bottom left. This piece has an apocalyptic feel, hence the title.

This is 1 of 3 series labeled “Tar and Feathered”

Ryan Farag is a #texturealist, currently working on two restoration projects in rural Montana.  For over 15 years, Ryan has been in and out of almost every facet of the coatings industry. Guilding, glazing, enamel, powder coat, staining, faux finishing and so on.  Since a child, line drawings have always been an influence. He studied printmaking and worked for an architecture restoration firm for 3 years where he picked up many long-forgotten techniques from old masters.  The desire to create “texture tarps” really came from a restoration trip overseas that turned into a wild discovery of plaster and color. They are an exploration-based solely in texture. The main driver to create is MOOD, how can colors and texture manipulate mood?  That and he just loves combining a multitude of materials together to see what they form.
