this full sized self portrait is executed with house acrylics on cardboard. Wanting to express power through fast aggressive brushstrokes. Cardboard allows me to paint with speed and spontaneity. Often using my own image for the subject of my work, I am able to create whenever my inspiration comes. Often I am approached by investors asking about the longevity of the medium, my response is cardboard hand house paints have been used throughout the history of art and are still around today.   The medium can be seen in “the scream” and work by Sydney Nolan to name two.
